Games Workshop has officially unveiled its highly anticipated lineup of Warhammer 40,000 Battleforce boxes for the holiday season. The company also revealed a festive new limited-edition miniature featuring Da Red Gobbo. Announced following a series of previews, these seasonal releases aim to provide tabletop players and collectors with substantial value and ready-to-assemble armies ahead of the winter preorder windows.
Seven New Warhammer 40,000 Battleforce Boxes
The holiday collection introduces seven distinct Battleforce sets covering a diverse array of play profiles and factions. These boxes offer significant savings compared to purchasing the miniature kits individually. They serve as an ideal entry point for newcomers expanding beyond Combat Patrols or veterans looking to launch entirely new armies.
The announced Warhammer 40,000 Battleforce lineup features the following faction packages:
- Leagues of Votann – Cthonian Prospect: Builds 27 miniatures including a Brôkhyr Iron-master, a Kapricus Defender/Carrier, Cthonian Earthshakers, Brôkhyr Thunderkyn, and Cthonian Beserks.
- T’au Empire – Farsight Cadre: Builds 16 miniatures including Commander Farsight, a Riptide Battlesuit, a Broadside Battlesuit, and Crisis Battlesuits.

- Astra Militarum – Krieg Siege Platoon: Builds 35 miniatures including a Krieg Command Squad, Artillery Teams, Krieg Combat Engineers, and Death Korps of Krieg troopers.
Festive Holiday Miniature: Da Red Gobbo’s Squigmobile
Alongside the massive military box sets, Games Workshop revealed its traditional Christmas commemorative miniature: Da Red Gobbo’s Squigmobile. Continuing the seasonal tradition, the model features Da Red Gobbo mounted atop a heavily modified, rocket-propelled Squigmobile complete with a panicking assistant strapped securely into the sidecar.
To accompany the physical release, Games Workshop will also publish a tie-in holiday fiction piece titled Da Red Gobbo’s Reckoning, written by Callum Davis.
Pricing and Availability
Games Workshop has detailed the contents of each box, with standard holiday bundle pricing typically landing around $250 USD / €190 EUR. However, exact regional pricing and specific weekend preorder dates vary. Due to their limited-edition nature, these seasonal bundles traditionally experience high demand and fast sell-through rates across local hobby stores and the official Warhammer Community webstore.
