Two teenagers from South Florida face multiple felony charges after investigators linked them to attempted car burglaries in Miami Beach and the theft of a luxury Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon that ended in a dramatic crash in Broward County. According to arrest reports published Thursday, law enforcement apprehended the suspects following a high-speed pursuit.
The suspects, identified as 14-year-old Daveion Gill and 16-year-old Guiyermo Spillman Jr., were arrested Wednesday evening by Hollywood police officers. The arrest followed a sequence of events that began earlier in the day in Miami Beach and Southwest Miami-Dade.

Timeline of Events: From Miami Beach to Broward County
According to reports from local outlets including NBC 6 and WSVN, the string of incidents started around 1 p.m. Wednesday near the 3400 block of Chase Avenue in Miami Beach. Home surveillance footage captured three masked individuals exiting a red Tesla sedan and attempting to open several parked luxury vehicles, including a Mercedes-Benz Maybach and a white Lincoln.
Because the vehicle doors were locked, the suspects failed to gain entry and fled in the red Tesla. Miami Beach police later highlighted this outcome, noting that simple vehicle security measures effectively thwarted the initial burglary attempt. Investigators believe a third suspect from this initial group remains at large.
Following the failed Miami Beach attempts, the suspects traveled to Southwest Miami-Dade. Detectives state that the group targeted a home near Southwest 136th Street and 102nd Avenue, entering an open garage. While rummaging through an unlocked Ford F-150 truck-where they stole a wallet and purse-another perpetrator found the key fob to a bronze Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon parked on the property and drove it away.
Pursuit and Crash in Broward County
The stolen luxury SUV was tracked northward into Broward County by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit. Video footage shared by monitoring groups captured authorities pursuing the G-Wagon as it maneuvered erratically through traffic before eventually colliding with other vehicles at a red light in Hollywood.
Following the collision, the occupants fled on foot near the intersection of Sheridan Street and North Park Road. Hallandale Beach Police officers successfully took two of the suspects into custody and subsequently transferred them to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Auto Theft Bureau.
During questioning, 14-year-old Daveion Gill reportedly confessed to his involvement in both the Miami Beach attempted vehicle break-ins and the G-Wagon heist.
Charges and Ongoing Investigation
Both juveniles face severe legal consequences, including multiple felony counts:
- Unarmed burglary of an occupied dwelling
- Attempted burglary of an unoccupied conveyance
- Traveling across county lines with intent to commit a burglary
Law enforcement continues to investigate the broader network of high-end vehicle thefts across South Florida. Authorities urge anyone with additional information regarding the third suspect or related car thefts to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers.
