The Los Angeles Police Department and the California Highway Patrol have activated an Amber Alert for four young children who went missing from their Reseda home. Authorities state the children were allegedly taken by their mother in direct violation of an active court order.

The children were last seen at approximately 5:10 p.m. on Saturday, leaving a residence near the 6600 block of Reseda Boulevard, close to Kittridge Street. According to investigators, a family court order explicitly prohibited the mother from moving the children out of the address while an ongoing investigation was being conducted.

Details of the Missing Children

Law enforcement officials have released descriptions and names for all four missing children involved in the statewide alert:

  • Anas Mirova: 9-year-old boy, 4 feet 2 inches tall, weighing about 60 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
  • Zuhal Mirzoda: 5-year-old girl with brown hair and brown eyes.
  • Maryam Mirova: 2-year-old girl, standing about 3 feet tall, weighing approximately 60 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
  • Rayana Mirova: 1-year-old girl, weighing about 20 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Suspect Description and Vehicle Information

The children’s biological mother has been identified by investigators as 31-year-old Mehrangez Sangalieva. She is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 155 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Photographs released by the LAPD show her wearing a light-colored headscarf.

Authorities believe Sangalieva and the four children may be traveling in a gray 2011 Toyota Prius bearing California license plate 6SWK678.
